The heart of a warrior, the voice of an angel, and the smile of a goddess. Kela is inspirational, dedicated, and endearing. Her laughter is contagious, and her personality is bigger than life. Her talents are exceptional, and her professionalism is top notch. She is kind, forgiving, and compassionate. Any organization would benefit and improve by having Kela on their team. I have witnessed her shine, in high times and in low times, and I feel blessed and privileged to know her. I am a better person because of her. Thank you Kela, and God bless you and your family!!!

I didn’t know when I met KC that a year later, she would be the person I turned to for support. I didn’t hesitate to reach out to her because I knew she would genuinely have my back. Having her coach me through my active-duty transition, resume edits and VA filings, I never thought out of the number of people that I talked to, she would be the one that would have supported me the most. I didn’t know what I needed until I talked to her. At times, it is almost like she intuitively knew what I needed to hear to push me into a better head space. Candid, and honest, but supportive and trustworthy. I’m selfish to recommend her because she is one of transitioning military service members best kept secrets.

I know you don’t always get to see the fruits of your own labor working with service members in transition, but I want you to know the COUNTLESS times service members told me how grateful they were for your guidance. Sometimes I will ask participants if they’re willing to share about their employment navigator experience and my favorite response ever was from someone who described you as “part guidance counselor, part cheerleader, and 100% has my back.” Truer words were never spoken, and we are going to miss you around here helping TSMs reach their maximum potential. ❤
